Mr HFR Franklin's Model Railway
Harry Franklin was WJ Bassett Lowke's business partner and, in later
years, owner of the Radwell Miniature Railway.
This article, written by Henry Greenly and published in Models,
Railways and Locomotives in 1909 describes a Gauge 2 model railway
that Harry built in a
spare room in his house, presumably in Northampton. Harry's brother,
Albert,
is mentioned at the end of the article.
Note the two chaps in the flashlight photograph. Who are they? Not
WJ, since he was taking the photograph. The Franklin brothers? Seems
most likely, in which case Albert
is on the right.
